Mercedes High Mileage Award Requirements and Application Information for Your High Mile Mercedes (link to application below).
A note from the author: (UPDATED February 2023 – the High Mileage application form at the bottom of this story has been updated to reflect the NEW address for the Mercedes-Benz Classic Center in Long Beach, CA).
I originally wrote an article very similar to this about the Mercedes High Mileage award more than 10 years ago and posted it to my ‘Dave Knows Cars’ blog. It was such a successful post at the time, I decided to also post it to the SL Market Letter website when I was the editor of that specialty Mercedes-centric publication. It has since been copied, pirated and cut and pasted to a variety of other sites… Palm Beach Classics being one of them. I post it here, in updated form, to Mercedes-Market.com in hopes that it will continue to be a resource and provide information to Mercedes enthusiasts everywhere interested in acquiring this award for the high mileage Mercedes.
Do you have a high mileage Mercedes-Benz vehicle? I see a lot of cars with more than 250,000 kilometers (155,000 miles) on their odometers that are eligible for a cool grille badge from Mercedes-Benz, many owners don’t realize these awards are available, a neat little trinket to dress up your car and show some pride in your Mercedes you’ve managed to keep on the road all this time.
Mercedes-Benz first introduced the High Mileage Award in the 1960s to recognize the Mercedes-Benz vehicles still on the road that reach well over 100,000 miles, with some even passing the 1 million mile mark. The program continues on today.
If you’ve got more than 155,000 miles on your Mercedes-Benz, no matter what the age of the vehicle, your car is eligible for the award and a nice grille badge.
The Mercedes-Benz Classic High Mileage Award is presented to owners whose vehicles have logged 155,000 miles or more.
Drivers receive a traditional Star and Laurel Badge and handsome display certificate in a formal presentation folder. Awards are presented at five vehicle mileage milestones.
Award Milestones
155,000 miles (250,000 kilometers)
312,000 miles (500,000 kilometers)
466,000 miles (750,000 kilometers)
625,000 miles (1,000,000 kilometers)
1,000,000 miles (1,610,000 kilometers)
Background
Mercedes-Benz first introduced the High Mileage Award in the 1960s to recognize the many Mercedes-Benz vehicles that routinely travel hundreds of thousands of miles – some even eclipsing the million-miles mark.

can you send me the european high mileage form via gmail
Hi there. Unfortunately, i do not have information on obtaining the high mileage award in Europe. I would suggest checking with your local dealer regarding the program to see if they can inspect your car and help you apply for the award.
I sent my application about 4 months ago and still haven’t received my award. How long does it typically take?
Hi Michael, I would call mercedes, maybe the classic center? And see what’s going on, I don’t think it should take that long… but not sure what a typical time is. Let me know what happens. Would love to know how it shakes out. – DT
Hello Michael,
I mailed out my application to the address listed on the form, and the post office sent it back to me saying “insufficient address.” I’m trying to find the correct address.
Thanks for letting me know Mary, I have updated the form at the bottom of this story on mercedes-market.com !
The Mercedes address on the application form is no longer valid. I mailed in my application, and the post office returned it. We then looked up the address, it looks like the property is listed for sale/lease.
You’re right Mary! I need to update that, the MB Classic Center moved to their new facility in Long Beach late last year!
