Consider what it would cost to acquire a cosmetically decent 6.3 in today’s market. Then imagine the time and money it would take to put it right mechanically. Whatever number is in your head, you should probably add 30-50%… and that’s about what it will cost. Save yourself the time, money and headaches and consider THIS car. $57,000 worth of maintenance and restoration work commissioned by current owner at Pierre Hedary and Company – Titusville, FL. Work was carried out between January 2018 and July 2019. (Detailed receipts and labor / parts log included in photos).
History:
Owner #1: Purchased new at Fletcher-Jones Mercedes-Benz – Newport Beach, CA
Owner #2: Owned for 30+ years, longtime member of the M100 Group
Purchased by a Southern California Dealer Sold to Owner #3 2017
Owner #3: Collector in Florida, purchased from CA dealer
Owner #4: Current owner – Upstate, New York (purchased from owner #3 January 2018)
Service / Maintenance / Restoration: Over $57,000 worth of recent work completed by Pierre Hedary and Company – Titusville, FL. Virtually every system in the car was tended to. Air suspension, air conditioning, brakes, fuel delivery, cooling, electrical, transmission, shifter, steering, instrumentation, etc. Much interior wood work refinished, heater levers restored and fully functional, window felts replaced, windshield washer pump, etc. See detailed labor log and parts list.
Exterior: Repainted Silver Gray 180 G (correct color for the car as per the data card) under previous ownership. Very presentable paint. One area of crazing on upper part of driver’s side rear door, we believe due to poor paint prep. Visible in one photo, when it’s angled in the light just right you can see it, not easy to see. Some pitting and discoloration to some brightwork. Excellent glass, all original except a new windshield installed by Hedary.
Interior: Black leather appears to be the original interior and is in very good condition. Seats are well filled and supportive, not saggy or broken down. Passenger’s side headrest was recovered in correct, black leather, as was the passenger’s side center arm rest. Door panels also appear original and are in excellent condition. Window felts were replaced by Hedary, all windows go up and down easily, the central locking system works as designed.
NOTE: The A/C was working perfectly when the car was delivered to the owner after all the work performed in Florida. This past Summer the A/C compressor failed. A new A/C compressor is in the trunk of the car, ready to be installed.
Mechanical: Please refer to the extensive labor log and parts list to see all the mechanical work that was done to this car in the last two years. No expense was spared, Pierre had a ‘blank check’ and orders to ‘make this car right’… and he did.
Extra little things that make this car special… it has a brand new, correct trunk mat… almost impossible to find. The cost was almost $600. Under body skid plate… installed in the front of the car, just below the oil pan. An exceedingly rare 6.3 option.
The car starts easily, roars to life and delivers a fabulous driving experience.
An excerpt from Pierre Hedary’s comments from the final invoice:
“I must commend the owner for seeing through this project and giving this highly desirable 6.3 whatever it needed. An excellent, unwracked, cosmetically solid car, the result of this rehabilitation yielded and excellent, reliable, fast and uncompromising 6.3”

The original Dealer to sell , if in Newport Beach, CA would have to of been Jim Slemons. Fletcher did not buy the dealership until the late 1980’s .
