Mercedes color code 906 G – Grey Blue Poly – also referred to as Grey Blue Metallic or Light Blue Metallic in some factory literature. This Mercedes color was introduced for the 1969 model year and was used through the 1979 model year.
Anecdotally, we’d call this a fairly common color for various Mercedes vehicles throughout the 1970s. A handsome color that seems to show off the body lines of all Mercedes cars well. There are many SLs and SLCs in this color, we’ve even seen it on the big 6.9 sedans of the late 70s too
